DVD swap,sell,auction script

Basically it is a website where people can come and trade, buy, sell or put there DVDs up for auction. Sales and auction transactions are pretty straight forward except you have to determine what percentage you want to make on the sales. At any rate, it is important that the DVDs come through you first. That way nothing gets shipped to anyone until you get paid. DVDs are light and inexpensive to ship. The user incurs the cost of shipping to you and whatever you charge to ship to the buyertrader on the other end. The advantage to all parties is that no one gets ripped off and you dont have to worry about people paying you because the merchandise is in your hands until they do so.Swaps are the same way. After both parties agree on a trade, the ship the DVDs off to you (there could be multiple DVDs going to multiple traders from one person) and you inspect and ship them out. This gives everyone maximum protection and relieves you of the burden of hanging on to credit card numbers for security. By the way, this program must be set up to accept Stormpay payments. The business is set up for DvDs only but can be expanded to include books, CDs and games which can be very lucrative. Here is how it works: 1. This is your home page. You can sign customers up for a yearly or monthly access fee or offer free signups in the beginning to build up your database. You have to determine how many DVDs your users can list and for how long you will keep them in the system. It is flexible that way. 2. The user signs up for membership gets a screen name and password:3. The user lists their DVDs and how they want them listed. In the database is a table with over 40,000 entries with specific information about each DVD to include the UPC# so the user wont need to enter a lot of specifics about the DVD unless it does not exist in this table.4. The user is not ready to search the current inventory to see what is available. Notice that certain columns on the grids are sortable.5. Once this is done the user selects the movies they want and the movies they want to trade for them. And an offer goes out immediately to the owner.6. Upon receiving and email with a link back to the offer screen the owner view all offers:7. The owner can click on the offers above and accept or decline the offer on the screen below which will automatically fire out an email to the requestor as to the final decision.Again, after both sides are in agreement, the DVDs are sent to you for shipping. This is where you will have to decide how much to charge for the serviceI will pay half the money on receiving completed script from the winning programmer and the other half once the script has been fully tested or immediate full payment if you can provide a demo link for testingProject Type:PerlPerlCGIPHPScript InstallationDatabase Type:(suggest one)Operating System:(I dont know)Project Scope:Custom ScriptMessages Posted: 5Programmers Bid Delivery Within Time of Bid Rating mortazavi 69020 day(s)8162004 12:22(No Feedback Yet)

Bidding Guide

(or: How to get more contracts)
  • Bid Smart - The lowest bidder doesn't always get chosen, far from it. Persuade your buyer why they should pick you - and they will.
  • Research - If John has paid more than $500 a contract for his last 10 project, why would you think he is interested in your $10 bid? Check up on the buyer, bid what he expects, and deliver quality to match.
  • Read - Please read the bid request - I cannot emphasise this enough - if you do not read the bid request then you will not be chosen, this is pretty much certain. Mention the bid request specifically in your application, and don't forget to repeat the key deliverables.
  • Innovate - Suggest features the bidder didn't mention, talk about future extensions to the project, and discuss whether you think his or her approach is a good idea. Show interest, intellect, and willing.
